G+ and Youtube

I've noticed recently if you post a message on youtube, it show up on G+. Is there a way to stop it from doing it? I don't want my youtube posts showing on G+.

Thnx.

There is a setting buried in your G+ profile, connected accounts. I found it by starting in YouTube/settings/overview. Click on 'edit in Google+' next to your account name then find 'links' and click edit. Then click 'managed connected accounts', there is an option to remove it.

Now I'm not sure if that will really stop it from showing your comments but it's all I found.

When I read that Google is, like Play, going to make it so you have to have/use G+ to comment on YouTube I went digging through settings.

Edit: Oh, I was just in YouTube on my laptop and got a pop-up about the new rules, clicked 'learn more' and found this:
Share your comment in more places. You can also share your comment as a post on Google+. Only the people you choose will be able to see the comment on Google+. It will also be visible to them on places such as the Google+ profile or page connected to your channel. If you don't want to share your comment on Google+, just uncheck Also share on Google+ below your comment before posting.

The mobile app doesn't yet support all the new changes/options that online does.

Here's the link with the new info: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171666?hl=en

I don't know if this has been added recently or I didn't pay attention, but it's good to know.

Thnx.

I heard about this, that YouTube comments is now tied to your G+. Google trying to tighten and clean-up on the YT comments, as well as bringing more integration into their services? Previously IMO YT comments really was an anonymous troll and idiot 'fest, much of it quite unsavoury and NSFW. So if you do post comments on YT now it shows up in your G+, and everyone can see and know who it is.

I have posted videos to YT in the past, but have always disabled comments because I didn't particularly wish to see them on my videos. I'll watch YT, but never look at the user comments.

How about this, which I know will not work. To have a google account, you must submit (to google) your identity, and proof of address?

I don't know what's going on. Google trying their best to keep G+ & YT tied together and then what will be next. I'm beginning to really wonder about Google. first off, they need to leave the default the way it is and give users the choice to combine or not! And they making it so confusing to figure out what you've done and changing it back.

Why is it, the bigger these companies get the more pain in the butt they are.
(MS, Apple, Intel, etc etc etc)

actually yes google is trying harder to push up it's social networking site google plus to compete with facebook by using such features on youtube.
