Help G-mail

Hello Everyone, I'm new here..
I bought new Galaxy S5 from a friend..And now when i try to register a gmail address so i can start downloading applications but it doesn't let me..Idk the Wi-fi turns off by himself when i almost finish registering the email..I tried to make a gmail from the PC and use it on the phone but doesn't work..the wifi turns off by himself for no reason..!!
Any solutions please?

I don't think that we can register a gmail without wifi? hm
Anyway nothings happens it just doesn't continue..

Is the device activated with the carrier? If so, you can do it without wifi.
But if not, then yeah, no connection without wifi
Do other devices connect to your wifi with no issue?
