G STYLO STYLUS

Hello all. So I have found that even though our stylus seems to be just a "regular" stylus, i have found that to actually be untrue. I have several other android products in my possession and other stylus's as well. The other stylus's i have work on my other android products, but not the STYLO stylus. The software optimizations that lg claimed are true. This phone has been optimized to work with this particular stylus. So it may not be the "s-pen" but it is a specialized stylus.

The s6 edge actually has built in stylus support. The screen lg used for the stylo actually has an embedded layer for advanced stylus support.

Good topic. I actually just wrote about this on Sprint Community (see my blog). The LG G Stylo uses a capacitive stylus with a very fine point. The LG G Stylo's stylus doesn't work on a lot of phones (G4 being one of those) but many capacitive stylus work fine on the LG G Stylo. I personally use one that is either or looks like the amPen stylus and find it a bit more comfortable.

The stylus works on the stylo but not other devices because the stylo has an insanely sensitive touch screen. If I very slowly bring my finger closer and closer to the screen it will sense it before I even touch the screen while there is still a gap of about .3mm between the screen and my fingertip. Also, the stylus does somewhat work on my other devices for swiping gestures but not for tapping or long pressing. Its just a matter of how sensitive the digitizer is on the device you try to use it with.

I decided to get the Stylus but I would recommend getting a glass screen protector instead of a plastic one. I tried both and lost some sensitivity with the plastic one and the glass one is alot smoother for writing...

And let's not forget the stylus support marshmellow will bring, hopefully there'll be some fancy new features.
