This is a guide for restoring your D631/VS880 to stock for taking OTA updates.

D631
(credits to bkman08 from XDA for the guide!)
First, here is the D631 laf partition. Its from the TOT file, however anyone that might need it is most likely already stuck on 4.4.2 anyway.

Mega: https://mega.nz/#!XI9C0LDL!LDnPY88WN...f6yZkbKQNkITx0

Now, this should be done BEFORE attempting to use the TOT file. You must be rooted and and running PhilZ Touch recovery WITHOUT download mode. In other words, you blew away the laf partition for fastboot so you could unlock and install a custom recovery. This can be done in Windows, assuming you have ADB/Fastboot installed and paths setup correctly.

Place the laf.img file on your desktop. Hold shift and right click any blank spot on your desktop and select "Open command prompt window here" from the contextual menu. Once the command prompt window opens, type the following to push the laf.img file to the internal sd card:

Code:
adb push laf.img /sdcard/

Open an ADB shell:

Code:
adb shell

Obtain root in ADB shell:

Code:
su

Overwrite the laf partition with the laf.img file:

Code:
dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf

Reboot your device into download mode:

Code:
adb reboot download

At this point, you are ready to use the TOT file.

1. Download the TOT/DLL File from here: https://mega.nz/#!bV8wSIYJ!NwKZ3nZk9J7uVjPjBQxPLHF-K1lvsZKu5R5iEU5bpJM
2. Download LG Flash Tool 2014: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
3. Download Megalock.dll: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45601040 Copy the Megalock.dll file into the folder where LGFlashTool was created. (Ex. mine is in C:/LG/LGFlashTool)
4. Turn your phone off and when it is fully off, plug the phone in WHILE HOLDING down volume up button (this puts the phone into download mode)
5. You need to change port settings on device manager to COM41 so that the program will recognize the phone in download mode.

6. Now that you have everything set up, launch LGFlashTools IN ADMINSTRATOR mode. Once you do that, click on manual mode and insert files into designated spot. Check attachment "D631 update" to make sure its right.
7. You should now get this screen here:

Notice how all of the D631's information in the top right corner
8. Press the yellow arrow to start the update! NOTE: Update might not start right away. After waiting 10 sec, if it still did not start, unplug the phone and plug it in again. You will know when it starts.
9. DO NOT TOUCH PHONE OR DO ANYTHING WITH IT OR FLASHTOOL UNTIL THE COMPUTER SCREEN SAYS FINISHED. Once it says finished, your phone should either be rebooted or in a blue "Factory Reset 3" status. Just simply wait 5 seconds and pull your battery to restart your phone.
10. Phone turned on, update google play services, etc. complete stock phone, update to lollipop within 2 hours. PROFIT!
11. Don't forget to thanks if I helped you, and please whatever you guys do, enjoy lollipop!

BIG THANKS to hyelton for the guide on flashing tot for the G2, the pictures and download for lg flash tool, without him it wouldn't be possible for us to flash our files.
also to @bobdamnit for going out of his way and helping us D631 users for the .tot/.dll file so we can enjoy our lovely phones

VS880
1. Download LG Flash Tool 2014: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
2. Download the KDZ you require from here:
10B: https://mega.nz/#!jFNV0TIa!_WXRaB8ypdWLjdv2lsU0D7uH6j1MDkoPEVE8Z-j-7XI
11B: https://mega.nz/#!SEFmSbgI!aXQhxz_ukDcIpVxOljIbEFLjptaEiZx_2NPqyWfkGXI
23A: https://mega.nz/#!rEM2gDbS!G5Ax_iqLnoJYXUZW_IBiOxwFt_BpQEFZ-fv22AfGpbg
I will state here that if you have taken the 23A 5.1.1 OTA update you cannot downgrade to 11B/10B without special instructions that are outlined here: http://androidforums.com/threads/vs880-downgrade-from-5-1-1.961891/

3a. If you have blown away your laf partition, follow the D631 instructions for reinstalling the laf partition. Here are copies of each of the laf partitions from each KDZ:
10B: https://mega.nz/#!XQEihCKC!mwpGsqkyl4gS0ifx7jkmMMZs5Z6_3-2UbO2GssIHwnw
11B: https://mega.nz/#!edkwXaRR!TZU-fqlCjvAAWrLAxgo0bscqBLpwbCiC9gYWeIQdsfU
23A: https://mega.nz/#!TQEw0YRR!PQJpd0IYiKSauR3WuZYVRaVZWc8ph7_gukWkR9v7cAc

3b. Once you've replaced your laf partition, open LG Flash Tool and make the following changes:

It will begin flashing and once it completes you are back to stock.

Hope this helps anyone who might need it!
