Okay so I have a sim card in my G1, when I import contacts it all works brilliantly; until the G1 syncs with gmail and deletes them all! Is there a way I can prevent this or at least have the G1 push contacts to gmail? The latter is really what I'd prefer; it seems to me that I'd likely be adding contacts in the future and it seems absurd that them not being in gmail would cause the phone to purge them?
