I have no idea what I did, but somehow my phone has reverted to version 1.0. I need to get it to at least 1.6 so I can root it and get back to the goodness I had last week. Everything I try is failing. I've downloaded signed-kila-DRC83-from-CRC1.c41b93c1.zip and renamed it to update.zip and installed it. When the phone comes back up it is still at 1.0. Any ideas on how to get this bad boy to something I can work with?

Help G1 stuck on firmware 1.0

It is Build TC4-RC29, by the way. I'm not sure what other information might be handy to have. I've had the phone since May of '09 without a problem until I started tweaking it. 
Typical... I've learned my lesson now and I just want it rooted so I can use the phone as a wifi hotspot and be able to run apps from the SD card again. I'll wait for the G2 before I try playing with v. 2.2
