g1 to mytouch3g slide

Just found out they released this today, ive had the g1 for like a year and a half and I like it, but ive been really hoping for that 2.x update that i dont think is ever coming, this new phone looks real sick and i need a hard keyboard, i hate touchscreen keyboards. if anyone has it, how do you like it? and do you think its worth upgrading from the g1 to this?

I got the Slide last week and love it. I've briefly played with a G1, but not extensively so I don't have too much to compare it with. A co-worker with a G1 really liked my Slide though and is looking to make the switch herself...
