Apps g1 version

hi all,

i have to develop an application using android sdk-1.1-r1 but there is many application which i can't to test it on the emulator ( applications related to the contents), so if there is a solution please help me on this situation.

at the end of programming these applications i want to apply on htc g1 mobile and the question here is this mobile compatible with user developments or not. if yes, please tell me which version is the most compatible one because i want to buy it to use it for my senior project.

I assume you're either referring to hardware level controls (bluetooth, accelerometer, etc) or low level programming (C, etc);

Pretty much, as long as you have a rootable G1 (USA, UK, most EU) you can install anything you want on it. Hardware wise the G1 and the ADP1 are the same, but if you're looking for either of the above, getting the ADP1 will save you a lot of time and hassle.

thanks for this rich information and would you please tell me more about the differences between G1 and ADP1 if you can, please?

my application is gonna be of retrieving media, contacts, callLog, inbox, and more data related to the database of the mobile. also, if i have more time i will make calls and send sms msgs via the application which i will create and more of other applications which software related not a hardware maybe i will use video streaming but it is not my intersts on my project.

so would tell me which version is better for my project G1 or ADP1???

Pretty much the only differences are...

1) The ADP1 is carrier unlocked, the G1 is not
2) The ADP1 has a glossy keyboard backing, the G1's is not
3) Rootable out of the box (G1 is but not as easily)

For what you're going to be doing, I would suggest getting an ADP1.

You can purchase an ADP1 by signing up for a market account ($25) - here and there'll be a link at the bottom of your market home.

Yeah, you can do it on a G1 too.
