Help [G2] Help with lockscreen notifications

[G2 lockscreen error]

So I bought LG G2, all was perfect, later I upgraded to KitKat and was satisfied. Few weeks later, lockscreen notifications stopped showing up from facebook, messenger and similar. I was kinda sad cuz I found that to be a really cool and useful option. Later facebook added a checkbox for lockscreen notifications and they began showing up. But messenger still doesn't. I tried sending a query to LG Care Center and they said that Messenger shows fine on their G2s. Now any idea what could be the problem that is causing this messenger issue? I tried factory restarting it, but still no luck.
P.S I tried downloading Echo lockscreen and it shows messenger notifications, but I just don't like the 3rd party ones. I really dig the stock one.
