Help g2 touch android 1.6 donut

Anyone know when where and how we g2 touch t-mobile uk customers will get android 1.6 donut if we ever do?

AndroidGuys have just posted an article quoting an email from HTC support that says we're not getting 1.6, rather, they're going straight to 2.0.
