Help Galaxy 10.1 not finding my bluetooth mouse

Greetings,

I'm trying to connect a Logitech m510 wireless mouse to my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 WiFi, and the Galaxy is not finding the mouse.

The mouse works with my HP laptop PC (when I plug in the USB adaptor), so I know the mouse works. And the Galaxy finds other bluetooth devices nearby, like my phone, so I know it's searching for bluetooth devices correctly.

Is the Galaxy only compatible with certain wireless mice? I thought it would be compatible with all wireless mice. Please advise, and thanks.

I found my answer. The Galaxy Tab supports bluetooth mice but not wireless mice (I didn't realize that they're different protocols). I traded the Logitech m510 Wireless Mouse in for a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. The Galaxy quickly found and paired the new mouse, and all is well.

RF wireless mice may work with the $20 usb connector. I got a few to work.

Wasnt able to get a Razor BT mouse to pair. Couldn't get it to challenge for a passkey. Everything else works fine, so I assume it's something janky in the Razor mouse, even though it works on my laptops.

The "wireless" devices such as the Logitech M570 Trackkball need to be paired in order to operate. On a Windows machine, you install the program that pairs the devices, however we cannot run the pairing program on our Tablets.

To use my M570 on my GT, I complete the installation on a Windows machine. Then move the little RF Doggle to the Tablet, where it is recognized as a USB mouse, and the Trackball works.

Hope this helps.

George
