Galaxy A3 wifi calling capability

I Purchased a Galaxy A3, 29th December 2016 having been told it would have wifi calling capability. And again through John Lewis with same problem. When will Samsung issue a software update to give this capability, have already been through Vodafone false promise and returned it to store for refund.

Was it a vodafone branded A3 bought from Vodafone... see below (taken from the vodafone link )

Thank you. Yes it was purchased directly from Vodafone shop, and I had seen the link you attached. Spoke with customer services at Vodafone 3 times, so returned to shop for refund as they could not resolve the issue.

It is personal and on a contract which Vodafone told me was eligible for wifi calling. Thanks

Ah... OK then.. If anyone could get it to work it should be them....

(I use a wifi calling app on my phone with three... but the idea of having it built in is very appealing when i upgrade at some time in the future)

Vodafone and EE offer this now, but you have to purchase phone from them as their software for wifi calling is built in, and phone A3 has to be 2016 model. No idea why I won't work for me. Good luck for the future.
