Help Galaxy Ace Music player after Gingerbread update

Hey all,

I am a fairly new Android user with a Samsung Galaxy Ace. I upgraded my firmware tonight from Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3.4.

I pride myself in my music collection and I like to have it nice and organised. I'd organised all of it by artist and album with cover arts and everything and the Music player under Froyo presented it all in the way I wanted.

After the upgrade tonight, the Music player seems to have suddenly grouped most of my songs into an "Unknown Artist" category even though it had previously organised it correctly under Froyo.

Some of the music is still correctly organised under the right artist's name. It seems that all the files that are *.mp3 are still correctly organised while all the *.m4a are now under "Unknown Artist". All the cover art seems to have been lost as well. All the music is on my SD card, of course.

My question to you gurus is that has anybody seen this happen before? How can I correct it? If I delete and reload all the music again should I expect a different outcome? Any other suggestions welcomed too.

Help is appreciated! Thanks.

Also I am hearing a pulse kind of noise(sort of signal distortion) while listening to music. Is that noticed by anyone?:(

I updated my phone to 2.3 gingerbread. I m getting a very serious problem in music player. It keeps restarting while playing music. ALSO there is annoying disturbance while listening music...! What to do??

Hi,

Use PowerAMP as music Player in ACE. Great effects like pop, bass, treble, phone loudspeaker, etc. and automatic switches to next folder. Trial and Paid versions are available in the Market.
