OTA means that your carrier sends you the update over the air. Since you can't do it yourself, there's no risk in doing it, there's not even any possibility of doing it.
Unless you happen to own a cellular network, of course. Then you can do it (assuming you've written the update) and there's no risk (unless you wrote the update wrong).
