Help Galaxy Ace won't show pictures

G'day all, I am still struggling with this phone. I am trying to view pictures that I saved from my old phone. It will show thumbnails but will not open picture in the my files or gallery. If I take a photo I can view it through the camera but not my files or gallery. This is a brand new phone, does anyone have any ideas?

What I forgot to mention was that it will play music and video from the card, just not open the pictures. I don't want to format the card so I bought another and hey presto, it works. I tried to copy everything from the card to another so I could format it without losing any photos and in doing so it came up with a warning that there was a hidden file. I don't know what the hidden file is, or where it is but I guess that could have been what the problem was.
