Galaxy Attain Boot Animation Help Please

Thank you to everyone who is reading this right now I am in need of some help as soon as possible.

I currently have a MetroPCS Galaxy Attain rooted with the only custom rom thats out at this time.I have been searching all over the internet for a way to change my boot image as well as the sound.Nothing I have found has worked.I have even tried the several applications that are on the android market free and paid versions.

Now to the problem when I was following one of the instructions for changing the boot animations and boot sound it completely erased the original so when my phone boots it shows the samsung logo and then the screen goes black for about 20 seconds.

If some could help me get as well as install the original boot for the MetroPCS Galaxy Attain that would be so helpful.Also if you have experience in changing the boot as well as the sound please leave those instructions as well.

Oh by the way if anyone is using the current rom for this phone would someone please tell me how to get my phone to look the original way its suppose to look once factory reset.I love the drop down menu bar look but its sucks once you soft or hard reset the phone becasuse it stays on that damn rom.

I am looking forward to reading everyones feed back.

If you intend on leaving instructions please be detailed and please dont give instructions with a whole lot of technical words if it can be avoided some people may need help and may not be familiar with the hacking lango lol

do you have root explorer installed on your phone if not i suggest you getting that app since it allows you to browse through your system folders on your phone. then from there you would need to navigate to system/media most phones have their boot animation stored in that location im not 100% sure about the attain but since its gingerbread its most likely. you should see a zip folder named bootanimation.zip whatever boot animation you currently have, it should be there. in terms of sound there should be folder on your phone called poweron mine on my esteem is in the same folder where my bootanimation is at. anyways i hope that gets you started in your journey trust me its not a big issue you just got to dig a lil bit in your phone to find the correct folder/location.
