Galaxy Camera, macro photography

I recently bought a Galaxy Camera and I'm currently testing the Aperture Mode. I would like to take very close photos with blurred backgrounds. To achieve this I selected the Aperture Mode and changed it to F8.0 (the maximum aperture in my camera). But for some reason, the camera doesn't blur the background. It seems that it was ignoring the manual configuration. Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something?

First of all I was totally wrong about the "f" number (Aperture number). I should have selected the lowest number (F2.8 in my case). Second, we can create "macro photos" in automatic mode. Just get close the camera to the target and place correctly the focus (the white rectangle that appears on the screen).

But changing to the Aperture Mode and selecting the lowest "f" number is not enough. You have also to go to "Configuration" and change the "Focus" option to Macro. And that's all.
