So, earlier today, i foolishly tried to root my android phone. All was good, up to the point where i wanted to un-root my phone, afraid it might break. There was an alert notification popping up in my notifications bar about resetting to fix something the root had done. I attempted to restart my phone. Doing this, as usual, booted up the phone, displayed the name of the phone, the colorful Samsung logo, and then the name of my carrier, T-Mobile. However, the T-Mobile display froze in place, and did not switch over to the lock screen. My phone constantly vibrates, as though a new notification keeps coming up, but it does that for however long the phone is still on, and in few second intervals. i have already attempted the "Hold volume key, power, and home button" thing, which sent me into "Odin Mode". I have tried to both download a new OS, which takes a along time not to do anything, as well as restart my phone. However, nothing has changed. I have been relatively picky about waiting for the OS to download, but i would like some guidance as to how long it should take, how long i should be expected to take, and lastly, if there is any other possible way to fix my phone. And yes, I do realize that the rooting does remove the warranty from my phone, and that i probably made a huge mistake. Regardless, PLEASE HELP!!!

With phone displaying Odin Mode means it is in download mode and ready to be flashed. This is something you have to do with a PC flash tool called Odin.
A easy method for you to return to stock out of the box condition is to use Kies3 since you have the T-Mobile version.
Download Kies3 and install on your PC.

Kies will download and flash the correct firmware for your device based on model number and SN.
Follow this guide.

The alternative is to download Odin and a copy of the firmware for your device and flash manually.

You could try a factory reset from recovery first but depending how you rooted your device, Kingroot, flashing new firmware will probably be a better option.
From phone off, pull and replace battery if needed, hold the power button + volume up + home till phone vibrates and you see "Recovery Booting" in blue in upper left of screen. Release the power button only while continuing to hold the other two. Release all buttons when you see Recovery menu.
Use the volume down button to scroll to Factory Reset the press power to select then select Reboot after.

Hello, I have the same type problem however my, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is through MetroPCS and it seems that the only firmware I can locate is the T-Mobile version for the SM-G530h but mine is SM-G530T now everything works just fine and my SIM Status says MetroPCS but most all of the ICON's etc. say T-Mobile including the welcome screen right after the Samsung screen, any news on a MetroPCS firmware for this device anywhere?

Thanks .. Dragon
