Galaxy Indulge no data connection at all

I've had the phone for about 2.5 years and I used to get 4G fine but about a year ago it stopped working. 98% of the time I get no data connection at all, and when I do it's 1x.

I've been ignoring it for a long time, but I finally want to fix it. The store was no help. They also can't figure out how to get the recent update for the Indulge on there.

I tried following the instructions here:

but when I click on Edit in the menu, MDN is not an option.

i had the same phone once. the same thing had happened. the antenna on those phones are known to be faulty. i think its time to upgrade to an LG Spirit, my friend. if this is not enough advise then i suggest you look in this forum

I suggest getting a gsm phone since you seem to keep phones for a long time since they will shut down cdma in 2015.
