Galaxy J7 (from Philipines) NO LTE!

Nutech

Lurker
Sm-J710gn is the model number of my cell phone that comes from the phillipines.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) specs

Is there any way that I can get this phone to read the LTE network?

My canadian cell phone provider is FIDO, their LTE bands are:
  • 700 MHz
  • 1700/2100 MHz
  • 2600 MHz
They are on this device but I cannot access the LTE network even with the LTE SIM card in this unlocked phone!.

Android OS: 7.0

Help!!

yes it is. The complete spec on the phone is in my original post (if that helps any) I have the SIM in slot one and have tried it on 2.

I'd guess that your Philippines variant J7 doesn't have the North American 4G LTE bands in it. Of course there's nothing can be done about that as it's hardware. What's on gsmarena for this phone is possibly for the United States variants, as it's an American website..

Thanks I figured I'd ask.

The reception even at 3G 4G at times can be somewhat slow / frustrating.

The battery on this phone however, is incredible. The first phone I've ever owned and I don't have to plug it in half way thru the day so I can make it to the end of the day!
