Help Galaxy Mega stuck in boot loop. Please help.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

3 month old Mega 6.3 on AT&T. No issues up to date. Replaced screen with aftermarket screen. No issues on new screen for last 2 months. Small crack but everything including touch screen works flawlessly.

Friday Android forced an update. Right after phone went into boot loop. If I held power, volume up and home, instead of going into reset mode, it gives a warning that unauthorised software is on the phone and to turn it off and go to the AT&T store.

Of course the store was clueless and told me to google a solutions. Tech support was not much help either and told me to call Samsung. Samsung couldn't help and informed me my warranty was voide due to changing the screen.

I downloaded the newest Android OS again through Kies. IT would let me hit power and down volume to enter Odin mode.

No here is the wierd part. If I disconnect the screen, it boots right up. Once booted up and timed out (Black screen) if I plug the screen in it works. I see the lock screen with my background. Update bar shows updates. However, because my screen was not attached during the boot sequence, the touch screen does not function. No way to enter my lock code and go any farther.

So do I need to spend $200+ on an OEM Samsung screen to fix this, or will another $80 Amazon screen do the trick. Or is there something else I am missing? Not sure why the software would recognise a non-OEM screen and shut things down.

Thanks again for any help!
