Help galaxy mini shutting off

hi i used to own a galaxy pro.
its been shutting off for no reason while sitting in standby. sometimes 2x a week, sometimes 3x a day, sometimes fully functional for a whole week or so.

samsung tried to fix it but i ended up having it replaced by mini. i just added a couple of bucks to compensate the difference

however when i got this galaxy mini s5570 it has turned off on me once yesterday and once today while in standby

i am so tempted now to update it to gingerbread but i dont know if it will help.

i dont know if any of you has this issues as well.

I have experienced this happening on mine a couple of times. It is still under warranty and was wondering if it's a serious problem, I should take it back to have it checked over. Would like to know too.
 
I don't have a fix for it, however if you are describing what i think it is, it's not actually off, it's still on but the screen is stuck, you can confirm this by calling your own number while it's "off" to see if the phone is actually off or just the display
