Galaxy Mobile AP Functionality

Raraka

Lurker
I recently bought a Galaxy S to replace my iPhone (good riddance). I don't have a landline internet connection at my apartment, so I have been using my phone as a modem. With the iPhone, I tethered using bluetooth, so it automatically turned off when I closed my laptop. Because the Galaxy acts as a WiFi access point though, it just stays on, which drains the battery if you forget about it. I'm curious as to what it would take to configure it to automatically disable itself after a period of inactivity, or at the very least, add some sort of icon to the notification area to remind me that it's on, and provide a quick way to turn it off, rather than going through all the menus to find the setting. Any help would be appreciated, so thanks in advance. Now, after typing all this using Swype, I'm feeling rather dizzy, so I think I'll go lay down :p
