Galaxy Note Help!! I lost my android market.

I researched this and can't find any definitive answer. I have a Galaxy Note that I have been setting up for the last couple of weeks. I installed several ringtone apps yesterday and today when I looked on the page where I put the ringtone apps a android market icon showed up on the same screen. I proceeded to delete it and now my android market application is completely gone. Help I want it back! I just got my phone where I want it and now the only answer I can find is to factory reset. Any help would be appreciated.

No worries, it's been happening to plenty of folks out there!

Couldn't Google have sent out an email or something to notify people about this (stupid) name change? This is just bad pr all around. I haven't seen a single person who likes the name and they are confusing people by just going into their phones and changing icons.(which seems creepy to me, BTW.)

They've been inconsistent with the notifications about the change. I got an email via Gmail from them about it, but the Market icon remains and I have to sign the user agreement every time I click that icon.. still no "..play.." icon.

Clearing cache and data from the Market app has had no effect.

Others have heard nothing, and just discover the change the hard way.

Hmmm. I suppose I've been lucky. No issues here. I signed the user agreement once and I have the google play market. Everytime I click the Icon it goes there with no issues.

I got no email, had it change to Play and clicked the user agreement, but still had the old Market icon for 3-4 days, it (the icon) finally changed last night. Haven't had any problems with it working or anything, though.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab wifi only got the update to Google Play overnight, no prior notice.

Oh well.. it seems the same.

Only difference I noticed is that it always reloads from scratch, i.e. takes me to the front pages, whereas the previous market usually stayed resident and took me straight to whatever I last looked at (usually My Apps).

(Edit: almost always - I just tested and it didn't do it! ;) But I feel I see that front pages more than I used to)

I got no notice, but was expecting it as I had reinstalled the Market Updater in order to test this.

Really? I have a droid razr, and I was told some time ago when I opened up Market that it'd soon become Play.

Idk.. I was well informed with just that one pop up warning, and I signed the agreement yesterday and haven't had any issues.

Maybe its just you.
