Help Galaxy Note II Charging Issues

Hello,

I have a Galaxy Note II GT-N7105. It used to charge just fine, but it has been left unused for at least 6 months. I put the phone on charge and the battery symbol displays, but no green charging indicator is showing. If the phone is powered on, the LED indicator flashes red for a moment and then the screen displays "Samsung Galaxy Not II GT N-7105" and cycles with this.

I bought a new battery, and the same occurs. I then bought a new charging port and replaced the existing one, but still just get the same.

I can boot to warning screen for booting to a custom ROM (Volume Down), but cannot boot using the Volume Up button.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried turning the phone off then plugging in the charger, any results?

I, thanks for the reply. Well it seems I have trouble turning the phone off as well now. Holding the power button down appears to turn the phone off, but when I plug the charger back in, the battery symbol appears and there's not any green charging indicator...
