Galaxy Portal NPS issue

I havebought galaxy Portal, love the phone but need help, i have UK Galaxy portal (T-Mobile)

The NPS that was supplied will not recognise my phone. I have tried on Win 7 and Vista

Is there a newer version than supplied or do I need specific USB drivers
 
When you connect your phone to the PC, you should get a notification on your phone asking you to "mount" the phone. Just press that.

I wouldn't really use NPS at all. At best, it's buggy and out-dated. You can access your phone files from your windows file system once it's mounted
 
When I plug the phone in to my Windows PC not seen the' mount' is thee any way of forcing this now, I have tried on Win Vista & &
