galaxy s2 gt19100 maps

hello guys,

happy with 'maps' on gt19100, except two things: "don't know how to input lattitude & longitude to mark a location ( like nokia ovi does). also I dont find a "street 3 D view" (?)
May I have some advices?

Thanks,
priyayijowo (newbie)

Hello,

Welcome to Android Forum. You and I seem to have the same problem. Maybe someone who has any idea on how this work might chime in to explain. I'll be watching this thread.

Thanks for joining the forum. See ya around. :)

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

To use street view, it must be installed and there has to be images available for that location. For the other issue, if you use Google maps on a PC I've found this:

Searching with latitude and longitude coordinates
If you know the coordinates of a location, you can simply enter them into the search box to locate it on Google Maps. You can even customize the label of a location's marker in case you want to share the map with your friends. Check out this example of a custom label to see how it works.

If you're browsing Google Maps and want to know the coordinates of a location, just right-click on the map and select "What's here?". The coordinates will automatically pop up in the search box

If you then star the location, it will be available to your phone. I can't help you with entering coordinated directly on the phone.

Because the Galaxy S2 classification covers different models from different carriers, the forums have been split so not to cause any confusion. Select the forum appropriate to your phone.
