Galaxy S2 vs Nexus 4 (Bundles)

the Samung Galaxy SII? Walmart has it for $299 bundled with the T-Mobile $30 plan.

T-Mobile and Walmart to offer prepaid Samsung Galaxy S2 for $299 | Android Central

4.52" display
Super AMOLED Plus technology provides 150,000:1 contrast ratio, up to 42Mbps download speeds, Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 1.5GHz dual core processor, 8-megapixel camera with flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, wireless connectivity, and Android 2.3.5 OS (Gingerbread).

I know you're stuck with TMO, but that's probably the plan I'd use on the Nexus 4 anyway. I guess the old OS is the biggest problem?

Thanks smart people.

Screen: The Nexus 4 has a IPS LCD display, 4.7", and with MUCh higher ppi (pixels per inch) than the GS2. Nexus 4 has a 320 ppi, while the GS2 has 217 ppi. Both good displays, no doubt, but there's just no comparison as to which is crisper.

Cameras: N4 has an 8MP back and 1.3 MP front camera.

Memory: N4 comes with either 8GB or 16 GB of internal storage, with NO option for removable storage (i.e. SD card).

Processor: this is not even close. The Nexus 4 comes with a Qualcomm quad-core Spandragon S4 Pro. Plus, project butter. This thing screams performance.

I cant imagine any scenario where you would want to go with the SII over the nex 4, unless you really, really hate LG.

The nexus is one of the best phones on the market (i mean technically its not on the market yet but w/e).

The only draw back is you're going to have to wait for it to come in the mail, so no instant gratification. Tmobile is going to sell it as well, but I'm not sure if they wil sell it for their prepaid plans. I read somewhere they would have a subsidized $199 version, but my guess is that's on a 2 yr contract.

The reason you will get an SII over an N4 is if you need like 32-64GB of local storage space. No matter how awesome the other hardware components are of the N4, if it only gives you a measly 16GB of storage and you need more, its a reason to dump it.
