Help Galaxy s3 battery runs out quickly?

I got a Galaxy s3 from T-Mobile yesterday, and when I got home the battery was around 50%. I had to leave, so I didn't get a chance to charge it. I got home, and it was around 20%, but I figured that was normal because it was brand new and I had downloaded some apps. I charged it over night, and I woke up to it being 100% battery. Since then, I have connected to wifi, searched for a case on ebay, deleted multiples of contacts, and downloaded one app. The battery is now 87%, annd it has only been maybe an hour and a half. Should I be worried there is something wrong with it?

The battery will last long when you changed it more times I've had 10% battery left and the screens been on for 5 hours didn't get half that on my galaxy s

You used the phone for an hour and a half and the battery is down only 13%? You should be extremely proud of this. This is pretty amazing battery performance wise. What phone were you using before the S3?

An hour and a half on 17% is horrible for an S3.. with the amount of usage u described especially... I can get 4 hours average on 15% with that kind of usage per hour. I unplug at 8am and have about 50-60% left when I get off work at 5pm. I've yet to hit under 50%... NO, I don't stream netflix at work or do anything crazy, but I do use it to sync emails, mms/sms plenty, snap some photos, browse the web when I'm on smoke breaks, etc.. Typical average user usage. I don't even turn on power saver or any of that..

I will say that conditioning your battery does indeed help after a few full cycles though. Charge it full, use it down to 10% or so and charge full again. Don't keep your phone charging while using at home unless completely necessary for the first few cycles atleast.

Edit: just realized he said 13%. Still should be better, but I would give it time before panicking since it's brand new. Also I'll add that I'm using the quad core international without LTE so that may make a difference too.
