Galaxy S3 dead screen

[Android Question]

A few months ago I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S3 and the screen went pink with green lines then went off completely and has never come back on. LED lights were still working and come on when I put the phone on charge. It was even ringing once when someone called me but nothing what so ever on the screen, just completely black. Dead. how can I get it fixed and what costs can i expect.

If you'd like to attempt to do it yourself, surely you can get a replacement screen on eBay, and then follow a tutorial such as this one:
