Is there a way to change from the horrible water drop dialing keypad sounds to DTMF keypad tones. I know i can turn it off, but I would like it to make it sound the same as the DTMF tones on my old S2.

I had the same problem when I first got my s3. Those sounds are annoying. I don't think there is a way to change the sounds to something else. You can of course root your phone and install a custom rom like cm 10 or aokp, that's what I did. I still haven't found any custom roms based on touch wiz that have other sounds.
Thanks. My phone is brand new on contract so rooting it isn't something I want to do at the moment. Maybe the new JB 4.2 update will sort it out, maybe? Even my mates new Galaxy Ace uses DTMF keypad tones!

Yeah I doubt the jb 4.2 update will fix it. I'm using aokp rom. So glad I don't have to hear those sounds any more.
I just thought of something you could replace your dailer app. This doesn't require rooting there are many dailer apps available on the play store for free.
