I took a trip recently to China recently and got a nasty surprise when my S3 couldn't find a network. I kept getting messages like "emergency calls only" or "no network available". My wife, who is on the same AT&T account, had no problems at all with her iPhone.
When I returned I went to the local AT&T store and also called 611 and got the same answer both places: Samsung phones from AT&T are locked out of Asia--that's just the way it is. Now I know that's not entirely true because the phone worked in Cambodia a couple of months before. But I can't find any info about this limitation in writing. Any help here?
