(I'M NOT SURE WHERE TO PUT THIS THREAD)
Alright, so since my I535's bootloader's locked on 4.4.2 Kitkat, I decided to look into cheap ways around that, without having to buy a new phone, and I thought of a way I might be able to fairly cheaply; buying an older GS3 for parts, and replacing the logic board, using a board from an older one that DOES run 4.1.2.
Would replacing the logic board on my device, using an older GS3's board, allow me to run 4.1.2 (should that be the version it's running), or is the Android version stored elsewhere on the device?
I am NOT a dev, or a hardware expert, so ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
