Help Galaxy S3 IMEI reset

Hi All,

I travelled overseas and had a local phone tech unlock my phone to be used in local network. I do not know what they did.

Now that i have returned to my primary carrier, my IMEI says "/ 09" . It looks like the IMEI has been changed. This might explain why i cannot connect to koodo network.

Update:
I have rebooted with the sim in it more than 10 times.
I have reset to factory settings/ hard reset.
I have tried installing IMEI updates from mini SD card as indicated

I have tried resetting resetting the FTM thru *#197328640#, as indicated by this

Is there a way to reset the original phone's IMEI so that it works as before?

I think your best bet s to check with your home carrier. Unfortunately, in many locations, including where this site is hosted, to tools and techniques you will need to accomplish this are illegal, so I'm going to close this thread.
