Galaxy S3, One X, or wait it out?

So I'm having a bit of a tough time deciding what I should do and hoping some of your opinions would help me out. Right now I have a Motorola Atrix rooted and on ICS. I'm looking at possibly upgrading but I kind of don't really feel like its worth while right now. The only thing I would gain from going to the S3 would be more pixels and a 1GB of ram. The One X would be a great phone for me, but I really want to have a removable battery. The thing is, they all have dual cores, including my Atrix, so its not like I'm moving into an entirely new realm of phones.

So if tl;dr is your way, I just want to know should I wait it out for quad core phones like the rumored one xxl? Alternatively... should I go for something that is already there?

There is always an arguement to wait but Samsung's flagship phones normally do age well compared to the competition.

So I think buying the S3 is a pretty safe purchase, at least in terms of performance.

But who knows, things could change. :D

The battery life on the OneX is fine.. also it beats the GS3 in most benchmark test.. The the extra gig of ram isn't showing much of a difference if any.. Also HTC updates its phones way faster than Samsung..

Either way it is truthfully a toss up... The only big winner would be the EvoLTE bc it has the extra kickstand and camera button..

The Galaxy S3 wins in most benchmarks, it depends which version of the One X and Galaxy S3 is compared but most reviews are fairly consistent.

Also, HTC don't update faster at all, Samsung have been releasing updates faster.

not disagreeing but I'm wondering if those reviews were taken before or after the firmware updates on the One X as they improved the phone massively. I've had a week of playing with the S3 now and the more I've used it the more I'm not convinced these "benchmark tests" are accurate. It's very marginal usually under a second but with the exception of the stock browser my HOX loads and does things faster than my wifes S3...

The numbers speak for themselves, the Galaxy S3 browser is pretty fast here, quick when using network data as well, 5Mb download usually which isnt bad considering.
