this is my first post, i have just brought a galaxy s3 yesterday (its factory unlocked and i am running it on vodafone network in uk)
Its a great phone but unfortunately i have a few problems i need help solving please.
When i connect the phone to my laptop, and click on "My Computer", it shows up under "Portable Devices" as "GT-I9300", i then click on this. As i have put in my 8gb memory card from my old xperia x10, i have a choice to click on either external card (my sd card) or internal memory which is named sd card also.
Anyway my problems arise when i click on either of them and want to open or edit media.
When i open vids/music from the phone on the laptop a windows tab comes up and says "copying to c/users....", so i cannot open any content without it first copying to my pc even if the file is on the pc.
And when i try to edit any songs for example the title or album name, it does not let me edit them, it is as if they are saved in that way and cannot be changed, this only happens on this phone so it cant be a pc problem. It also shows most songs as 0kbs on the pc.
My last question is - how do you safely remove the phone once you have sent over media as there is no safely remove device icon in the bottom right windows start menu when i disconnect this, however when i remove the phone windows makes the sound to show something has been removed. When i first plugged the phone into the pc it did say "device software is ready to use- succesfully installed"
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
