Galaxy S4 Active worth $170 more than the S3?

I have an upgrade coming up, and I'm looking at the Galaxy S4 Active and S3. I can get an S3 in CLN condition for $30. Now, I know that the S4 destroys the S3 in the benchmarks, but is it really worth $170 more than the S4? I have been using a Samsung Captivate for a while and I've been pretty satisfied with it. Its faster, newer, water proof and dust proof, and bigger, so yeah it will be more expensive. However note that we aren't seeing TRUE value here. The S3 has depreciated in price since its not flagship anymore, but the Active has a premium on it because its a new model.

Right, but I'm asking if its worth the $170 price jump?

Depends on what you need the phone for.

If you need a phone that's going to be water proof, dust proof, and have a quad core CPU then I'd say yes.

If you're just going to use it for occasional web browsing, texting, video viewing, calling, then probably not.

IMO, I think it does. Everything except the camera is a pretty good spec bump from the GS3 including the build materials. Now, your opinion can vary because you might not agree with me about the spec bumps being significant. I think a $170 price difference is fair especially when compared to a Certified Like New device.
