Help Galaxy S5 Contacts only sync one-way

Hello. I've checked all the settings I can think of and can't figure this out. If I add a Gmail contact with my PC, it shows up in my phone contacts. If I add a contact in my phone, it doesn't show up in my Gmail contacts. I don't see any settings that would explain this. Any tips?

It sounds like you are saving the contact on the phone as a "phone contact" (or even SIM contact) rather than to a google account:

When you save the new contact, at the top of the screen it says "phone" in a large box with a drop down arrow - change it to your google account before saving.

The google contacts created on the PC appear because in contacts, when you do
menu
contacts to display

you have all contacts selected (or at least phone and your google account)

Just a guess....but the first thing to check

Thanks Roger. Is there an easy way to convert all my contacts to Gmail instead of Phone? I've tried and don't see a way...looks like I may have to re-enter them all manually...

Hi

If you open contacts, then
menu button
merge with google

(I dont have an S5 but guess its the same)

Yeah that's strange. I watched a video that said the same thing about the S5 but mine does not have the merge option in the contacts menu...
