Help Galaxy S5 Email deleted from server

Just got the Galaxy S5 and I have my cable company email setup on the phone as a POP3 download, and not deleting messages from the server. I also use Outlook on my desktop to download my emails, setup with POP3 as well, and it deletes the messages from the server after download. I use my phone email all the time so it will download the email messages from the server. But after I download the messages on Outlook and the messages are deleted from the server, all my emails are deleted from my phone. I've tried deleting the email account on my phone and setting it up from scratch but the same issue keeps happening. This never happened on my old smartphones and worked the way it is supposed to but not on this phone.

Anyone else having this same issue?

The default email client is just terrible at everything, I couldn't stand how the client would always pull down emails already read and deleted from the phone and mark them as new if they still resided on the server.

Here is the solution, backup any email on phone first -

1. Open application manager, find the email app, delete cache and data.

2. Open Play Store and get K9 mail. Setup a mail client that works the way it's supposed to.

3. Never use default email client again.
