Galaxy S5 Neo timing out too fast

I have my phone set to tine out in 10 minutes' time. However, the phone seems to be timing out much sooner than that (I timed it) . I want to see if a factory reset would help but there's a problem - I have a lot of game and story "game" apps that I've invested a lot of time, and in some cases money. I don't want to lose all this effort; especially when some of the in-game items earned are limited edition and I can't get them again as the events are over.

Here are my questions: would moving each app to my SD card be enough to save them and all the data without worry? If no, what would be the best way to save these games?
