Galaxy S6 Backup

Okay. You know how when you connect your phone to your PC, you can transfer photos or you can transfer media or whatnot...
I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times already, but I'll ask again...
Is there a way to backup my entire phone to my PC, so that I can completely erase my phone, and if I ever need to use it again, just copy everything back from PC to phone and it will work like it did b4 I erased it??
Or do I use a different app or software or something to do this?

I ask this because I'm letting someone else use the phone so I have to erase everything, but I want to keep all content of phone in case I ever get phone back and need to use it again... I lost all my phone stuff at one point and it almost killed me, so I promised myself I'd never do that again.

I have a verizon Samsung Galaxy s6

Thanks for your help guys.

Thank you. I believe I have Samsung Smart Switch on my Galaxy S6 already cuz I think I used that when I switched to my S9+.

Will the app make a backup of everything and save that backup like on the cloud or something???.. or does it save it thru my gmail login on my phone... So when I erase the s6, that backup will still be saved somewhere for later use...

Thank you for replying so quick.
I will do that right now. I dunno why I overlooked that part of it. As I was asking how to back it up onto my PC, why it didn't cross my mind that the backup would stay on my PC... duh me. I feel stupid now.

Thank you for your help!! Sorry I'm such a dork!! Lol
