Galaxy S6 Cell Standby Battery Drain

Hi, yesterday I just got the S6 on Verizon and while it is an amazing phone, I do have one complaint/bug. Whenever I go to battery info in settings, I see that cell standby is taking a major part of my battery. For example, right now I am at 15% and my cell standby has taken 34% while the screen has only taken 12%. Why is this happening? My dad, who got the S6 from Verizon at the same place from me, doesn't even have the cell standby show up on the list! Why is this and what can I do to stop it? Thanks!
(BTW I do not even have VoLTE nor do I have WiFi calling enabled from Verizon.)

I would try a hard reset first, since it's only a day old. A few others on different forums have noticed problems with Cell Standby on T-Mobile using a lot up with some success after a hard reset.

I had this problem as well on Verizon with the S6. I was getting to the point where I was questioning taking back the phone. This morning I did a Factory Reset without restoring any apps or data (a clean setup). I did not install any apps at first and after running for a few hours, cell standby has not been a problem when before it was taking up 30-45%. Now it is staying steady with the Android System at around 8-10%. I have since added my email sync and it is still functioning fine. It is worth a shot to do a clean Factory Reset if you are out of ideas, it worked for me.

Before this, I had tried multiple "fixes" from various forums (Voice over LTE enabled/disabled, wifi scanning, clearing the cache), but nothing worked.

I too had this issue. The last step I did was turn off WiFi and now after 4 hours I don't even see Cell Standby in my usage list.

My Galaxy S6 was draining constantly, over 80% for standby.
I fixed it by going to Settings->WiFi->More->Advanced and turned all the options OFF on that page.

(I also disabled Peel Remote, which was always using up CPU even when not being used, and I don't use it anyway)
