Galaxy s7 losing sound in apps

Hi guys, this is my first post ever. I come to you with one I can't figure out.

While I am playing app games, background notifications will happen like getting an email for example, and then I lose the sound in the app I am using. It's been doing this for a few months and it is now driving me crazy! Please help.

Settings / Advanced features / games. You should be able to use these tools to kill interruptions during games.

I don't want to kill the notifications. I want the notifications to stop killing my sound. That would only be sweeping the problem under the rug :/

Sorry I don't have an answer, but I have a similar problem that I'm wondering if it's caused by the same issues.

When I'm in my car, the phone always connects to Bluetooth and starts steaming my Mp3's on my SD card, all is well.
I get a phone call, music stops, I talk through Bluetooth and all is well. I end the call, and my music resumes, however my media volume has now been turned all the way down, and I have to manually turn it all the way up again. Every time.

(sorry, not trying to hijack your thread, but as I said, I'm wondering if we're experiencing something with the same root cause.)

The email sound is one of the sounds the phone came with, but I am also losing sound from phone calls, texts and app notifications which are from sounds I have got elsewhere... so the answer is both kinds of sounds are doing this I suppose.

I haven't used the game tools yet. Have you experimented with them? I'm not certain if it stops notifications. I would hope that it would stop the interruptions, but the notification would still exist and would be in the notification shade.
