The notification tray of your phone always shows status icons based on current settings or alerts, but sometimes, it's not easy to understand what they mean. Here is the official list of Galaxy S7 icons and meanings from Samsung.

Can dissable NFC or N thing, when you pull down from top, and open to expose all, NFC in there, along with flashlight I couldnt find.
 
Go to SETTINGS > NFC & PAYMENT & you should see an On/Off option.......
 
can't figure out what the phone / wifi combo symbol is. Possibly wifi calling, it's now in the manual. Don't think I have wifi calling activated. Can't upload a picture of it, it's an upside down handset with a wifi symbol above it. thanks for looking.
