The Spigen Rugged Armor Extra is a high quality TPU case for the Galaxy S8 with extra protection. The rugged design provides extra thick shock absorption in the corners thanks to reinforced TPU and air pockets.
The rest of the case, however, is standard TPU fare. With the exception of the corners, the rest of the case is relatively slim. The ruggedness is mostly just looks, with a variety of textures, finishes, and accents making the case appear as if there was more to it. It's literally just a TPU mold of a rugged case.
