You may have a bad battery and need to replace. How old is it?

Also may be one of these things.
Many things that may cause this problem.
1. Improperly downloaded updates that didn't properly install.
Possible solution is to backup your data and try a factory restore while plugged into power.
2. I have heard people find out that the USB power cable went bad and was not making good connection and never fully charges battery.
Try another cable and see what happens.
3. I have also heard too many things running in memory and it shuts down because of lack of space and overloads and shuts down.
See what apps you have running all the time and stop or uninstall what is not needed.
4. I have heard that over time the ribbon cable inside connecting the battery to the motherboard comes loose and when the unit is moved the connection is lost from the battery and shuts down.
Solution is to check battery connection and remove and reattach then put a piece of black electric tape to hold in place. You can see this at the end of the video below.
This should be done by someone who has some experience with your unit.
You can see it in this YouTube video on how to replace battery in the Galaxy Tabs.
Also notice the other ribbon cables attachment as they also may be loose and need reattaching and using new black tape.
5. The final possibility is that the battery is going bad and you need to replace it.
