Galaxy Tab Verizon Data Plan question

Just bought Tab from Best buy was shocked to get home and now see my first months 20 dollar a month to month 1 gig data plan is going to be over 80 dollars.
Didnt know about activation fee?

Question I plan to cancel data after the one month if down the road I want data for a month again am I recharged a activation every single time?

I dont have a tablet so I dont know all the ins and outs........ but dont they make you sign a contract for service? the tablets arent somewhat subsidized similar to a phone? if you signed a contract youre gonna be billed for data every month whether you want it or not.......... if theres no contract involved and you can legitimately cancel the data after the first month...... then yes I would guess they will charge you an activation fee if you reactivate it again later and each subsequent time you cancel and reactivate

If that is the case they are making a big mistake. It is bad enough that Verizon chose to use mobile broadband rates for tablet data. ATT was smart enough to charge the same as for smartphones and allow you month to month without any penalty unless you got in on the unlimited iPad data and canceled it.

Just get it without a data plan and tether it to your rooted Android device with wireless tether.
