Help Gallery and Text messages went on the blink

Ok so I gave my wife my D2, did a factory reset on it beforehand. She's been playing on it now for almost a week with no problem until today..
It started off with her gallery, when you try to go into the gallery it will kick you right back out into the launcher. I can use astro to get to her pics but any pics she takes now won't work. So then she went into her messaging app, all it does is cycle, it won't load up any messages at all.. I really don't know what's wrong with it, trying to avoid a factory reset if I can, but I will if it's my only option. Any ideas?

Try menu - applications - all, find the text messaging app and the gallery app and clear the data.

I'm having the same issue with my email app. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or just a glitch? I have to either do a battery pull or power off then back on, then it stops for a few hours... however it doesn't occur while in safe mode.. any ideas?
