Help Gallery disappeard from my Nexus 5

Hello everyone,

Since the last Android system update (is it lollypop ?) that I did last week, the gallery icon completely disappeared from my Nexus % I read on this forum that it was maybe hidden so I went to Setting then Apps but it's not hidden. I also did some reading and tried to fix it and I accidentally disinstalled the Camera App. I can still take pictures and film with what seems to have replaced the camero icon, an icom in the shape of a green android. Now the camera has been replaced with a weird android icon. How can I get back my gallery icon and my camera ?

The Gallery has been replaced by the Photos app. Nothing wrong. If Photos is not on your home screen where the Gallery was it is in the app drawer.

To reinstall the Camera app just open the Play Store app and search for 'Google Camera'.

I had a couple of icons replaced with the green android icon when I installed lollipop. All I i did was drag the icon from the app draw back on to a home screen.

If you did indeed update to android 5.0 Lollipop (you can check in your settings to see if this is the case) the gallery app is no longer included on your phone. Now, you are expected to use the photos app that comes on the device, or use an alternative gallery app from the play store.

It seems like you might have uninstalled the google camera app. Try going to the app page in google play and see if you can try and reinstall it.
