Help Gallery not showing emailed photos

I have an interesting issue. I email myself jpg files from my computer so I can text them to my friends. When I email it, it saves fine and the thumb displays fine in the gallery. But, when I try to attach the file to a message, either in Handcent or the stock app, it says "Unable to load photo".

Has anyone else had this problem?

You say "it saves fine." How are you saving it (on the receiving end)? The Gallery is just a thumbnail image, not the actual file. If you've only viewed it as an attachment, the actual image isn't saved to your phone.

Its an attachment that I email myself. I save it by tapping the "disk" icon to the right of the attachment. It says "saving to ext SD card" or something like that. I go to the gallery, can see the thumbnail, tap it and it goes to a black screen that says "unable to load photo". Does the same thing when I try to attach it to an MMS to text someone, too.
